The script can be called with the following command line parameters: purgenonexistingimages.sh -c-configdir -l-library -p-purge Run the script with no. If you want to remove the image from darktable select the image(s) in lightable, then look at the right hand tabs and pick the options of selected images (not by my pc at mo so this is from memory). You must close darktable before running this script. ![]() If you wish to select multiple images in the filmstrip, use Alt+click to select the first image, followed by either Ctrl+click to select or de-select further images, or Shift+click to select a range of images. Perform actions on images that have been selected in the lighttable view. Find and remove entries from the library database referencing images that no longer exist in the filesystem. I thought that if I chose Import - folder dartable would reload files (RAW only) that are currently on drive and will forget about JPEGâs. The images shown are the same as those displayed in the lighttable view and are defined by the currently-selected collection. Darktable remembers there was a JPG - shows skulls and image information of non-existing anymore jpegs. Also is there a way to delete a collection, or rename it Regards, Tony. How can I clean up the database to get rid of these entries. In the darkroom, the image currently being processed is selected and highlighted. The filmstrip can be used to quickly switch between images in any darktable view. To: <> Subject: Darktable-users Cleaning up the database I have a load of images that are in darktables database but no longer on my disk.In the darkroom you can change the photo currently being processed by clicking on another image in the filmstrip. If not, Iâll just move them using the relevant file management function of the Op. Quickly navigate through the images in the filmstrip by scrolling with the mouse. The height of the filmstrip panel can be changed by clicking and dragging its top border. The images shown are the same as those displayed in the lighttable view and are defined by the currently-selected collection. Re-import the images into DT.The filmstrip can be used to quickly switch between images in any darktable view. Now select the images and click on the delete but chose the remove from darktable not the trash option (I am not by my PC at the moment so cannot give you the actual words or what to click, but it is on the right hand side options) What I suggest is:įirst backup your images in case you make a mistake ![]() If the "discard History" is not working, I guess it is because you have deleted the xmp and DT cannot work out how to get the original image back as it also has info in the database that does not match the xmp anymore. Any edits will then start from this entry onwards The second option is to click on the image, go to darkroom, then in the hsitory stack on the left, click on the first option called (I think) Original image. The first is as you have been told, select the image in lightable and click on the discard history. if you use other programs to move, delete or change the image DT will get confused. The basic rules with most software programs is, always use the application to perform any actions on the objects, so if you want to move, change or delete the images, always use DT. ![]()
